ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú Theatre Invites Audiences to ‘Weather the Storm’ with Shakespeare’s The Tempest

The King’s College Theatre Department will continue its 2025–26 Main Stage Season with its annual tradition of producing a play by William Shakespeare. This year’s selection, The Tempest, will be directed by Professor and Department Chair Dave Reynolds.

Performances will run Nov. 13–16, 20, and 21 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the George P. Maffei II Theatre, located in the Mulligan Physical Science Center at 133 N. River St., Wilkes-Barre.

King’s Theatre invites audiences to experience the magic and mystery of The Tempest, the department’s 76th Shakespearean production. Set on a remote island where spirits roam and secrets unravel, this tale of betrayal, love, and forgiveness unfolds under the spellbinding influence of Prospero, a powerful magician and wronged duke. With its rich language, unforgettable characters, and timeless themes of reconciliation and wonder, The Tempest continues to enchant audiences across generations.

This production brings Shakespeare’s poetic vision to life through evocative staging, compelling performances, and a touch of theatrical enchantment.
