King’s College senior Josh Kollar ’26 has been recognized as part of a winning team in X Culture, a large-scale international business project that brings together thousands of students from around the globe to solve real-world challenges.
Kollar’s team was one of only 18 winning teams selected from 1,121 submissions, placing them in the top 1.6% worldwide.
The event brought together 5,832 students representing 161 universities in 41 countries, with participants’ home countries spanning 141 nations across six continents. Students were placed into diverse global virtual teams of four to six members, each from a different country. Kollar collaborated with teammates from Colombia, the Philippines, and the Netherlands.
Kollar’s team developed an extensive business proposal addressing real strategic growth opportunities for Dart Drones, a prominent drone training company. Their report stood out among the final submissions evaluated during the 2025 competition cycle. Each team’s work was rigorously reviewed by international business experts from 41 countries, with every report evaluated by four to seven independent judges. Assessments considered creativity, clarity, feasibility, writing quality, and the strength of each report section, along with detailed qualitative feedback.
Kollar completed the project under the guidance of Dr. JC Blewitt, faculty member at King’s College, who supported his participation and development throughout the competition. This project is a requirement in the IB450/MKT480 course, Management and Marketing of Multinational Corporations.
“This achievement reflects not only Josh’s talent and professionalism but also his ability to collaborate across cultures and deliver solutions with global relevance,” said Dr. Blewitt. “I am happy for Josh and proud of his collaboration with his teammates. It’s a big deal to be an X-Culture winner!”
Kollar’s success highlights the growing emphasis at King’s College on experiential global learning and prepares students for careers in an increasingly interconnected business environment.
