King’s College will honor Michael Molewski ’84, as the eleventh recipient of the 2026 Rev. James Lackenmier, C.S.C., Award for Achievement and Leadership on Oct. 26, 2026.

In honor of the College’s seventh president, Rev. James Lackenmier, C.S.C., the award is presented annually to recognize members of the King’s College community who exemplify professional excellence, philanthropy, ethical leadership, and service. The event brings together business leaders, alumni, students, and community partners while supporting the College’s Presidential Hope Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance to students facing financial hardship.

As a first-generation college graduate, Molewski went on to build a career in the financial services industry. At 24 years old, he founded what became MFP Strategies, growing the firm organically from $30 million to $5.5 billion in client assets over 15 years before its successful merger with CAPTRUST in 2015. Today, his team in Allentown oversees more than $50 billion in client assets as part of CAPTRUST, the nation’s largest registered investment advisor.

Financial Advisor Magazine recently named CAPTRUST the nation’s largest registered investment advisor for the ninth consecutive year. Molewski has also been recognized with King’s College’s Leo Award for Outstanding Alumni. He has served on the King’s College Board of Directors, chaired its Institutional Advancement Committee, and remains a member of the William G. McGowan School of Business Advisory Council.

Under his leadership, the Lehigh Valley Food & Wine Festival has raised approximately $3 million for student scholarships over the past 15 years. He also helped the United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society grow from fewer than 100 members to nearly 400 philanthropic leaders.

“In honoring Michael, King’s recognizes not only a lifetime of achievement, but a legacy defined by leadership, generosity, and a deep belief that true success is measured by the lives one helps uplift,” said Rev. Thomas P. Looney, C.S.C.
